Twenty years ago, women in Virginia politics were still being told to wait their turn.

They did not wait.

They organized. They ran. They won. They legislated, governed, and changed what was possible in this Commonwealth. They did not just enter the room. They reshaped it. They rebuilt it. And in more than a few cases, they moved the furniture entirely.

This caucus was part of that story. For two decades, the VADEMS Women’s Caucus has been the connective tissue of something larger than any single candidate or campaign. It has been a home base for women who refused to be sidelined, a launching pad for women who dared to lead, and a community that understood before most that when women lead, Virginia moves forward.
